This family-owned hotel is located in a remote spot, but if you have a car it is a great base to explore the surrounding area. the location is perfect for those who want to visit the waterfall just upstream, the one just a short walk away, or the beautiful nearby lake. the room is well-kept and clean, and the service is excellent. Breakfast is tasty, and there are plenty of facilities available if you need them.
The hotel is a bit out of the way, so if you're looking for a place that's right in the center of town, this isn't it.

We had a great time during our Christmas stay here! The location was perfect, just a short drive away from many sights and trailheads. We loved the cozy and comfortable atmosphere of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for nearby activities. We especially enjoyed their delicious breakfast and dinner menus, featuring fresh and locally-sourced ingredients. Plus, the wellness area was a wonderful way to relax after a day of exploring.

This is a little bit of design in the mountain retreat of the Dolomites. A lot of effort had gone into decorating this with a very tasteful mix of artworks, fittings, furniture and freestanding art. The room was spacious with a nice balcony and the food provided with the half board was of very high quality. There is also a room under the hotel where bikes can be stored.
Only a very small gripe was that of a one off comment from the owner. We were in the Dolomites for a cycling trip and after having climbing 3600m vertical metres that day and with another day to come, naturally we needed to fuel up. The owner was very generous with dinner providing seconds and thirds of some courses to the hungriest of our party. In the morning, as we fuelling up for the day, the same owner commented by way of asking ,"Are you having breakfast or making a picnic?" This was a little strange. Overall though it was the only tarnish on a great stay in a great location. It is a way to get food elsewhere so I suggest half board.

The hotel offers great service with personalized daily itineraries and breakfast to-go for early morning outings. The location is in a picturesque valley, near the waterfall and lake, and is a great mid-point for visiting many attractions by car. The hotel facilities are well-kept, clean, and Scandinavian-style decorated. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is family owned and run. Werner, the son, was a delightful person and was very helpful in helping us settle in. He recommended that we have dinner at the hotel and it was quite delicious. I would recommend this hotel.
Be aware that the hotel is on a hairpin curve where motorcycle riders enjoy accelerating going up hill. Not a problem at night but in the daytime would be much worse. I would recommend requesting a room facing the stream that flows past the hotel. Beautiful scenery in the Dolomite area.

Nice mountain views and comfortable bed. the staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting local activities. the location was convenient for exploring the area by car or going for a walk in nature.
The room was very small and dark with little natural light, making it feel uncomfortable. the breakfast was disappointing with limited options and low-quality food.

The shower was nice, and the son of the owners is nice and speaks English.
The hotel is located right on the front road.(If you open the window, you find yourself simply on the road). It's really hard to locate the hotel, and it took us several wrong turns just to try and find the hotel. The hotel is outside the nearest town (Nova Lavente) and you have to go by car to get to the town center, by night it can be not so easy because of the darkness. The owners doesn't speak English at all (but his grandson does and is very nice). The rooms are decorated at a very old style (like at the 1940's) .
